CSQD#1 - Cross stitch is my comfort game

Pattern Information:

• Completed stitched area (W x H) approximately: 29.3cm x 14.1cm (~11.5" x 5.5")
• Fabric: 18-count Aida
• Number of colors: 6
• Full cross stitch, backstitch and french knots (optional)

Background:

The first half of the quote came into my mind one day while I was at work and I like to end quotes that rhyme and so that is how the second half of the quote came about. Not only the quote rhymes but the initial letters “C” and “S” is abbreviation for “Cross Stitch”.

With the quote in mind, I decided to make a pattern out of it. The flower's inspiration is drawn from the sakura/plum blossom flower. Initially, it was meant to be covered in french knots after I saw how easy knots are in a tutorial on YouTube but i decide to scale it down and add basic flower patterns as a substitute.

I had used a hand-dyed Aida fabric to bring out the colors of the flower; mainly white and pink. Fabric choice/color is up to your preference.
